Cirque des Voix® brings together great circus performers with more than one hundred voices accompanied by a live orchestra, providing new creative opportunities for circus and musical artists of all backgrounds and ages.
Cirque des Voix® is a collaborative project between the Circus Arts Conservatory and Key Chorale—both based in the circus heritage community of Sarasota, Florida. Initiated by Pedro Reis of the Circus Arts Conservatory and Joseph Caulkins of Key Chorale, their performances blend the graceful strength of the human body with the beauty of the human voice and live orchestral music.
In 2017 Cirque des Voix® will feature the world premiere of Arise—a new musical suite commissioned to accompany performances in Sarasota and Washington, D.C., by 2015 National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellow and world-renowned circus aerialist Dolly Jacobs—the first circus artist so honored by NEA.
Cirque des Voix® produces sights and sounds that surprise and inspire the senses at many levels—a rare multi-disciplinary artistic experience.
