At the age of seventeen, Ana de Jesús Marín learned how to weave baskets from her uncle Juan Gregorio, a well-known Filandia master weaver. She knows the entire process from harvesting to drying and processing locally grown vines. She is a member of the Association of Artisans of Filandia (Asociación de Artesanos de Filandia).
