Meet the people and places featured in the Perú: Pachamama program in this introductory video for the 2015 Folklife Festival. The photos and videos were shot during our curators’ research trip throughout Peru, and the song was composed and performed by Abel “Billy” Castillo, a local Peruvian artist.

Castillo, who also builds cajón drums, will perform at the Festival on Saturday, June 28, at 3:30 p.m. on the La Juerga stage.
