  • Susana Baca: "Negra Presuntuosa"

Only July 2, the 2015 Folklife Festival welcomed a special guest to the Perú: Pachamama program: two-time Latin Grammy winner Susana Baca. Drawing inspiration from her upbringing in the fishing village of Chorrillos outside of Lima and blending musical traditions of the region with a contemporary sound, Baca has played an integral role in the revival of Afro-Peruvian music.
