Dragon Dance by the Zhejiang Wu Opera Troupe
The Zhejiang Wu Opera Troupe’s Dragon Dance was a 2014 Smithsonian Folklife Festival crowd favorite. Performed by ten acrobats and originating as a folk dance of Zhejiang Province on the east coast of China, the dance is still popular at New Year’s celebrations and as an expression of cultural heritage and pride.
