  • Day Nine: APA Highlights

"War and Peace" is the theme of today's Asian Pacific American programming. Come and see martial arts demonstrations with roots in Korea, the Philippines, Mongolia, and Burma. Ongoing workshops and informal demonstrations will be held in the Family Activities area.

The cooking traditions of Korea, Thailand, Mongolia, and the Philippines will be highlighted in Tea House, with noodle and rice dishes as the main focus.

Veterans of World War II will start the day in the Talkstory tent, followed by panels on multiracials, holistic healing, two more panels on veteran's issues (including a visit by Maryland's Secretary of Veterans Affairs Edward Chow), and two panels on peace advocate and United States Senator Spark Matsunaga of Hawai'i. Please join us on the Mall!
