  • Day Two: APA Recap

Today brings more cooks, performers, Talkstory panelists, and family activities. Learn how to make Japanese dolls and Korean masks. Lao, Vietnamese, and Korean cooking styles will share the Tea House with Hiu Newcomb's eco-ganic recipes.

Americans from Korea, Laos, Nepal, and Vietnam will perform, and the Talkstory stage features discussions about being a performer, the APA labor movement, APA arts, adoption issues, cybersecurity's effect on "perpetual foreigners," and Korean Americans.

Tonight, the Filipino American community takes center stage at the Asian Fusions performance tent from 6 to 8 p.m. with music, dance and more. Please join us!

Phil Tajitsu Nash is the curator of the Asian Pacific Americans program at the 2010 Folklife Festival.
