It’s an Ozarks bonanza! Folk music is a wide-ranging genre, embracing the expressions of communities throughout time and space, ever-changing. Tonight, we get into the nooks and crannies of folk music in the Ozarks and beyond.

Arkansas folk band Sad Daddy starts off the night, blending jazz, soul, country music in a heartfelt tunes. The Creek Rocks, a husband-and-wife duo from Missouri, follow, crooning folk and old-time songs. Afterward, we’ll skip over to another region of the United States—Tennessee, where the Po’ Ramblin’ Boys got their start. With an album released by Smithsonian Folkways last year, this band is redefining bluegrass today.
