Reflecting on the UAE's fifty years, this conversation recalled the travels and transformations that have shaped the young nation and ways of capturing the histories of its people. Participants included Dr. Ahmed Al Khoori, who has collected UAE artifacts documenting the nation for four decades, Dr. Frauke Heard-Bay, a historian and political scientist who helped develop the UAE’s National Archives, and David Heard CBE who has lived in the region for nearly sixty years and written about and worked in oil there.
