Artists from the Karen Weaving Circle, based in Minnesota, demonstrate a traditional Karen rice porridge called tak kapow. A blend of dried meat, greens, and other vegetables, this dish became a symbol of sustenance as refugees adapted by incorporating wild herbs from the forest.
