A steadfast pillar of our stage and sound crew, audio engineer Gregg Lamping has been working every summer at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival since 1976. In 2025, he celebrated a momentous fiftieth year at the mixing board on the National Mall. Over the years, he has mixed for many beloved musicians including—among his favorites—Yo-Yo Ma, Mariachi los Camperos de Nati Cano, and Guy Clark. We thank him for his years of dedication and love for the work, community, and all performances on stage.
