For more than forty years, the Smithsonian Institution's annual Folklife Festival has afforded peoples around the world the opportunity to share their living cultures and traditions in the most open, interactive, and personal ways possible. Coming from one of the world's smallest and least known countries, we Bhutanese especially look forward to presenting many aspects of our life in the eastern Himalayas to people from the United States and other nations at this summer's Festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.
